Day 28

Congratulations on Completing Week 4 of the  40day180!

This week we hope that everyone has discovered the importance of memorizing the scripture and speaking it. This is what prepares us to overcome the temptations from the enemy, helps us stay on the path of life, and keeps us in connection with the Holy Spirit. When we have our Word R.E.A.D., we will be Spirit Led (see below):

R – Read the Word – Matthew 6:33 & Matthew 6:21-23
E – Embrace the Word – Psalms 119:9-11 & Matthew 15:18
A – Announce the Word – Proverbs 18:21 & James 3:4-5
D – Do the Word – James 2:26 & Joshua 1:8
Spirit Led – John 14:21 & John 16:13

When we choose to live the Word of God, no weapon formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We will walk in peace through all circumstances (Isaiah 26:3 and John 16:33), which in turn will keep us healthy (Proverbs 14:30). Our tongue is what directs our lives and will either keep us on the path of life or lead us off of this path (James 3:4-5)

Ephesians 4:17-32

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. 20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Joshua 1:8 – This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Psalm 119:9-11 – How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. 10 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

  • (Week 1) I choose to seek God first everyday by getting into His Word.

  • (Week 2) I choose to seek God first everyday by getting into His Word. I choose to walk in the plan God has for me by choosing to live the Word of God in every area of my life.

  • (Week 3) I choose to seek God first everyday by getting into His Word. I choose to walk in the plan God has for me by choosing to live the Word of God in every area of my life. I thank You Father that as I choose to obey Your Word, You are protecting me, directing my footsteps according to Your Word, and filling me with Your Holy Spirit.

  • (Week 4) As I continue to renew my mind with the Word of God, I choose to speak life and not death in every situation.
