Day 8

Welcome to Week 2 of the 40day180!

We pray you are getting great revelation as you continue to spend time in His Word daily. This week will help you answer the question “Does God have a plan for my life and what does this plan look like?” (Jeremiah 29:11) Salvation in Jesus Christ gets us on the path of life. However, it is a choice for us to continue to live our lives on the path of life God has for us (Deuteronomy 30:19-20).

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you,  no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;  I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight.

This week’s challenge is to ask at least one person, “Do you know God has a plan for your life?” And then tell them about the scripture Jeremiah 29:11. Encourage them that God does have a plan and this plan is found by getting into the Word of God.

I choose to seek God first everyday by getting into His Word. I choose to walk in the plan God has for me by choosing to live the Word of God in every area of my life.

Mike, thank you so much for bringing this 40day180 to study God’s word. After completing discipleship, I found this very useful for me to be structured in my time with the Lord in the morning. Psalm 91 and Proverbs 3;5/6 are my favorite verses and I’m learning more every day. You are a great inspiration to me and I appreciate you so much, God bless you.
